Publication Frequency

Society, abbreviated as Society (Bangka. Online), follows a biannual publication schedule, releasing issues in June and December.

Commencing in 2018, the journal has adopted a continuous publishing model. Under this model, articles are promptly released online as soon as they are prepared, ensuring a rapid dissemination of high-quality content. Once a publication cycle concludes, articles are compiled for print, and the subsequent issue begins online.

The Continuous Publishing model takes advantage of the online system, facilitating immediate article publication upon completion of the entire process, including peer review, approval by the Editorial Board, copyediting, typesetting, and proofreading. This eliminates the need for approved articles to await the completion of a specific journal issue, offering a more efficient service to authors and readers and expediting content dissemination within the scientific community. The journal continues to accumulate articles for two issues annually, with publishing deadlines on the last day of June and December.

By decoupling article publication from the print schedule, readers, students, and colleagues gain faster access to content for citation and reference.
